A little about myself
- exservice29
- Hi, I'm Matthew Craven, and gardening has been more than just a job for me—it's been a form of therapy and a fresh start. After serving in the military, I faced the difficult transition back into civilian life, grappling with PTSD and the challenges that come with it. In the midst of that, I found solace in working with my hands, creating beauty out of nature, and watching things grow. Gardening became my outlet, helping me reconnect with peace and purpose. Now, as a landscaper by trade, I’ve expanded my passion into vertical gardening to help others experience the same joy I’ve found. I believe that anyone, no matter their space or budget, can grow their own food and reap the benefits of nurturing a garden. Whether you’ve got a small urban space or a large backyard, vertical gardening allows you to maximize your area and enjoy the rewards of homegrown produce. Through my blog and ‘Matt’s Garden’ page, I’m here to share what I’ve learned along the way—practical tips, inspiration, and the satisfaction of transforming your space. Let’s grow together and make gardening a part of your life’s journey!
